The 59th edition will take place from July 4 to 19 and will follow the same format as last year: the Place du Marché and the Casino will once again host 16 evenings of ticketed concerts, while the lakeside promenades will feature free stages.

Free VMCV Bus Lines

Our VMCV lines 201 (Vevey – Rennaz) and 204 (Montreux Casino – Chailly P+R) will be free during the operating hours of the Montreux Jazz Festival 2024.

Free ride schedule :

Monday to Friday : from 6:00 PM until the end of service
Saturday and Sunday : from 2:00 PM until the end of service

All night bus services on our N291 line will also be free throughout the entire duration of the festival.

Additional VMCV Bus Service

Line 201 : Vevey – La Tour-de-Peilz – Montreux – Villeneuve VD – Rennaz, Village

Our Line 201 takes you straight to the heart of the event, with stops at “Montreux, Vernex”, “Montreux, Centre des Congrès”, “Montreux, Escaliers de la Gare”, “Montreux, Débarcadère”, “Montreux, Marché” and “Montreux, Casino”.

In addition to the regular schedule between “Vevey, Funiculaire” and “Rennaz, Village”, extra buses will be running during the festival starting at 5:30 PM, and Line 201 service hours will be extended. Here are the details of this special offer :

Additional buses to and from the stops “Vevey, Funiculaire” and “Noville, Pré des Fourches” to serve the Tronchenaz parking area.
Additional express buses to and from “Vevey, Gare” and “Montreux, Marché”, with no intermediate stops between “Montreux, Vernex” and “Montreux, Marché” in the Vevey–Montreux direction.
Extended service until 3:53 AM on the four nights from Sunday to Wednesday.
Extended service until 4:53 AM on the three nights from Thursday to Saturday.

Timetable for line 201 during the festival

Line 204: Montreux, casino – Clarens – Tavel VD – Baugy – Chailly-Montreux, P+R

Line 204 makes it easy to get to the event, with stops at “Montreux, Vernex”, “Montreux, gare”, “Montreux, rue du Marché”, “Montreux, La Paix” and “Montreux, casino”.

In addition to the regular schedule between “Chailly-Montreux, Chailly P+R” and “Montreux, casino”, extra buses will be added during the festival, and Line 204 service hours will be extended as follows :

The Saturday frequency increases from 20 minutes to 10 minutes between 15:00 and 20:30.
The Sunday frequency increases from 20 minutes to 10 minutes between 17:00 and 20:30, then remains at 20-minute intervals until 23:00.
Service extended until 3:43 a.m. on the nights from Sunday to Wednesday.
Service extended until 4:33 a.m. on the nights from Thursday to Saturday.

Line 291 : Montreux, casino – Chernex – Blonay – St-Légier – Corseaux – Vevey

Our N291 line serves the following stops near the festival: “Montreux, Vernex”, “Montreux, Centre des Congrès”, “Montreux, Escaliers de la Gare”, “Montreux, Débarcadère”, “Montreux, Marché” and “Montreux, Casino”.

The special night bus schedule for this line during the festival is as follows :

On the four nights from Sunday to Wednesday: 4 bus departures from “Montreux, Casino” at 23:52, 01:02, 02:09 and 03:22.
On the three nights from Thursday to Saturday: 5 bus departures from “Montreux, Casino” at 23:52, 01:02, 02:09, 03:57 and 05:12. In addition, one departure from “Vevey, Gare” at 02:59.
